CSA Group Announces Effective Dates for Adoption of New Standard for Intrinsically Safe and Associated Equipment

The CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Group has announced the effective dates from which only CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 60079-11:14 can be applied to intrinsically safe and associated equipment.
EU PROPOSES TO AMEND CLP REGULATION ON SUBSTANCES AND MIXTURES

The EU has informed the WTO of its intention to revise the CLP Regulation. Substances and mixtures are required to be classified, labeled and packaged 18 months after the date of entry into force of the amendment.

South Korea Proposes to Strengthen its Safety Standard for Children’s Products

South Korea is consulting over its proposed amendment to the Common Safety Standard for children’s products. The revision is proposed to enter into force in June 2020 at the earliest.
Maine, USA, Revises Proposal For Designating PFOS as a Priority Chemical For Reporting

The US state of Maine is reposting a revised proposal to designate PFOS as a priority chemical for reporting requirements. If approved, intentionally added PFOS is required to be reported within 180 days after the effective date of the final rule.
